Overview

The Office of the Chancellor supports the Chancellor's leadership as Chief Executive Officer by providing administrative, organizational, communications support, and strategy development and services, to advance the Chancellor's vision, core values, and priorities for the University of California, Berkeley.

BEATA FITZPATRICK

Associate Chancellor and Chief of Staff

Beata FitzPatrick is responsible for the effective administrative organization and daily functioning of the Office of the Chancellor and its responsiveness to the needs of the Chancellor and the campus community. She has oversight for the management of the budget of the Office of the Chancellor and its human, financial and physical resources. view full biography

Linda Williams

Associate Chancellor and Chief Ethics, Risk, and Compliance Officer

Williams serves as a lead strategist and has a broad level of authority to represent the Campus with constituencies such as faculty, senate committee chairs, senior administrators, other UC locations, Office of the President, public agencies and the community. Williams has administrative oversight for numerous offices including the offices of Government & Community Relations, Audit and Advisory Services, and the Staff Ombuds Office. Williams also serves as the campus Chief Ethics, Risk and Compliance Officer and has responsibility for oversight and coordination of the campus’ ethics and compliance requirements through the newly established Office of Ethics, Risk and Compliance Services. view full biography

Phyllis Hoffman

Assistant Chancellor and Chief of Staff to the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost (EVCP)

Phyllis Hoffman supports the Chancellor and EVCP by providing advice and high-level strategic assistance on a variety of organizational matters. She works on Chancellor and/or EVCP–led campus-wide initiatives and is currently on the leadership team for Operational Excellence. In collaboration with the Associate Chancellor-Chief of Staff to the Chancellor, Phyllis also works on leadership transition planning, organizational structure changes, and executive recruitments. view full biography
