Rosemary Kim

Rosemary Kim is the Associate Chancellor and Chief of Staff at UC Berkeley, bringing over 26 years of dedicated service to the university. In this role, she provides strategic leadership and operational oversight to advance institutional priorities and support the Office of the Chancellor in guiding the university’s long-term vision.

Previously, she has held key roles across multiple divisions, including University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Finance, where she was Assistant Vice Chancellor, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief of Staff. She has been a trusted advisor to senior leadership, managing high-impact initiatives in policy development, crisis management, and large-scale data projects.

Erin McDevitt

Erin joined the Office of the Chancellor in 2022 and currently serves as Interim Associate Chief of Staff, where she plays a pivotal role in shaping strategic initiatives and ensuring seamless operations. She oversees the Chancellor’s Cabinet and the Board of Visitors, manages administrative staff, and serves as a key liaison between the Chancellor’s Office and student, community, and advisory groups.

With over 13 years of experience at UC Berkeley, Erin has been deeply involved in advancing the university’s mission. In her previous roles within Berkeley University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR), she contributed to campaign planning, international fundraising, alumni relations, and the UC Berkeley Foundation, helping to foster global engagement and philanthropic support.

Yvonne Edwards

Yvonne has served as Executive Assistant to the Chancellor for six years, bringing over 27 years of experience at UC Berkeley. In this role, she expertly manages the Chancellor’s calendar, speaking engagements, and daily briefings, while handling a wide range of critical responsibilities that keep the office running smoothly. Her deep institutional knowledge and dedication make her an invaluable part of the Chancellor’s team.

Azia Tullos

Executive Communications Manager | aziatullos@berkeley.edu

Azia is the Executive Communications Manager at UC Berkeley, where she has served since 2021. She oversees the Chancellor’s departmental inbox, website, and signature, while also supporting internal campus communications through CalMessages and the Office of Communications and Public Affairs.

Before joining Berkeley, Azia built a diverse background in K-12 communications, journalism, and video production in Texas, including work as a reporter for a local newspaper. Her expertise in strategic messaging and media makes her a key player in shaping the university’s communications.

Laura Hassner

Strategic Advisor to the Chancellor | laura_hassner@berkeley.edu

Laura Hassner is a professional faculty member at at the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley, and is the Executive Director of UC Berkeley’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship and Berkeley Changemaker. Hassner co-created and co-leads the Berkeley Changemaker at UC Berkeley. The Berkeley Changemaker’s identity-making curriculum activates undergraduates’ passions and helps them develop a sharper sense of who they want to be and how to make that happen. Hassner also teaches in the Berkeley Changemaker suite of courses, including the gateway course “The Berkeley Changemaker” and “Berkeley Changemaker: Living with Agency.”

Khira Griscavage

Khira serves as Associate Chancellor and the Chief Ethics, Risk, and Compliance Officer (CERCO).  Khira is a strategic advisor to the Chancellor and campus senior leadership. As the CERCO, Khira oversees UC Berkeley’s compliance, ethics and risk service programs and provides strategic and operating guidance to the Chancellor and campus leadership. She previously served as Special Advisor and, later, Interim Chief of Staff for Administration and Finance between 2007 and 2012.

Geraldine Esteban Liscano

Geraldine Esteban Liscano became the Executive Assistant in the UC Berkeley Chancellor's Immediate Office in September 2008. In this role, she provides executive administrative support to key executives, including the Associate Chancellor, Chief of Staff, Chief Ethics, Risk, & Compliance Officer, Deputy Compliance Officer, & Special Faculty Advisor to the Chancellor on Campus Welfare and the Chief Campus Counsel. Additionally, she serves as an administrative assistant to the Office of Ethics, Risk, and Compliance unit (OERCS). Before joining UC Berkeley, Geraldine worked as an administrative specialist to the Associate President and Special Assistant to the President in the President's Executive Office at the UC Office of the President for several years.

Tim O'Connor

Tim has a robust financial planning and budget analysis background with over 20 years of operational finance experience, spanning both the banking industry and higher ed. He has a strong foundation of operational finance: forecasting, planning, budgeting, analysis, reporting, and process improvement experience. He has worked in various financial and management leadership roles across UC Berkeley including the Office of the Chancellor and Environment, Health & Safety.

Tim is from a small town called Kinvara, in County Galway, Ireland, and moved here in 2005. He resides in Novato in the North Bay with his family of four. He serves on the Novato City Council providing feedback and direction to city staff on a wide range of subjects, including, financial & investment policies, housing and planning, public safety, strategic plans and budget development.

Megan is the Administrative Officer and Control Unit Administrator (CUA) for the Chancellor's division. She works with division leadership to achieve their HR, finance, and planning goals.

Michael Thompson

Building Manager | mike_t@berkeley.edu

Michael Thompson is the Building Operations Manager in the Chancellor's Immediate Office. He has been in this role since 2023 and at UC Berkeley for over 28 years. He currently manages facilities and operations for California Hall, University House, 2222 Piedmont and Fox Cottage. Prior to joining the Chancellor's Office, he was the Facilities Manager of 1608 4th Street and a Business Admin Analyst in several departments. In his free time, he enjoys fitness - including hiking, swimming and yoga. He also enjoys traveling to faraway places, drumming and eating at restaurants. Michael is a people person and gets the most fulfillment from interactions with his colleagues, staff and vendors.
