Rosemary Kim

Rosemary is the Associate Chancellor and Chief of Staff at UC Berkeley, bringing over 26 years of dedicated service to the university. In this role, she provides strategic leadership and operational oversight to advance institutional priorities and support the Office of the Chancellor in guiding the university’s long-term vision.

Previously, she has held key roles across multiple divisions, including University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Finance, where she was Assistant Vice Chancellor, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief of Staff. She has been a trusted advisor to senior leadership, managing high-impact initiatives in policy development, crisis management, and large-scale data projects.

Erin McDevitt

Erin joined the Office of the Chancellor in December 2022 and currently serves as Associate Chief of Staff, where she plays a pivotal role in shaping strategic initiatives and ensuring seamless operations. She oversees the Chancellor’s Cabinet and the Board of Visitors, manages administrative staff, and serves as a key liaison between the Chancellor’s Office and student, community, and advisory groups.

With over 13 years of experience at UC Berkeley, Erin has been deeply involved in advancing the university’s mission. In her previous roles within Berkeley University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR), she contributed to campaign planning, international fundraising, alumni relations, and the UC Berkeley Foundation, helping to foster global engagement and philanthropic support.

Yvonne Edwards

Yvonne has served as Executive Assistant to the Chancellor for six years, bringing over 27 years of experience at UC Berkeley. In this role, she expertly manages the Chancellor’s calendar, speaking engagements, and daily briefings, while handling a wide range of critical responsibilities that keep the office running smoothly. Her deep institutional knowledge and dedication make her an invaluable part of the Chancellor’s team.

Azia Tullos

Executive Communications Manager | aziatullos@berkeley.edu

Azia is the Executive Communications Manager at UC Berkeley, where she has served since 2021. She oversees the Chancellor’s departmental inbox, website, and signature, while also supporting internal campus communications through CalMessages and the Office of Communications and Public Affairs.

Before joining Berkeley, Azia built a diverse background in K-12 communications, journalism, and video production in Texas, including work as a reporter for a local newspaper. Her expertise in strategic messaging and media makes her a key player in shaping the university’s communications.

Jaime Lopez-Miramontes

Jaime is an Executive Assistant to the Chancellor, bringing over a decade of experience in higher education administration and operations. He provides high-level support to campus leadership, including both the Chancellor and Associate Chancellor.

Before joining UC Berkeley, he spent 8 years at UC San Diego, where he held multiple roles, including Business Operations Manager and Chancellor Initiatives Administrative Officer in the UC San Diego Office of the Chancellor. Jaime is also an alum of UC San Diego.

Jen Brand

Associate Director of Board of Visitors Operation | jennsbrand@berkeley.edu

Jen is the Associate Director of Board of Visitors Operations, supporting the Board of Visitors in providing strategic counsel to Berkeley’s leadership. Since 2018, she has coordinated board meetings and initiatives aligned with the university’s priorities.

Previously, Jen was a development associate at the Rausser College of Natural Resources and worked in the private sector as a marketing technology manager and business analyst. She co-founded and co-chairs the Campus Volunteer Board Network (CVBN) to support staff working with volunteer boards.

Jen holds a B.A. in Sociology from UC Santa Barbara. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, Pilates, and time with her family and dog, Hazel.

Strategic Advisor

Andy Hu

Andy is the Student Assistant for the Office of the Chancellor since August 2023, where he manages front desk operations and reception. He provides administrative support, assists with office communications, and helps coordinate engagements between campus partners.

A fourth-year Legal Studies student at UC Berkeley, Andy’s passion for advocacy began long before his time on campus. Born in China and raised in San Francisco, he has been a dedicated advocate for Asian immigrant students. His leadership extends to serving as a Student Observer on the UC Regents’ Academic and Student Affairs Committee and holding various positions in ASUC offices. Additionally, he plays a pivotal role as one of the campus leaders for Notion at Berkeley, helping students and registered student organizations optimize their workflows.

Outside of academics and work, Andy enjoys playing badminton, sparring, and baking with friends. Whether it’s on the court, in the kitchen, or training, he loves staying active and spending time with others.

Laura Hassner

Strategic Advisor to the Chancellor | laura_hassner@berkeley.edu

Laura is the Strategic Advisor to the Chancellor and Executive Director of Innovation & Entrepreneurship at UC Berkeley, home to the world’s #1-ranked university for venture-funded startups (PitchBook). She co-founded and leads the Berkeley Changemaker program, a campus-wide certificate program focused on critical thinking, communication, and collaboration, and teaches at the Berkeley Haas School of Business.

Laura’s career spans finance, education, and social impact. She began as a financial advisor at Arthur Andersen, later joining Alvarez & Marsal to help build their West Coast practice. She then transitioned into education, teaching at an urban middle school before leading program innovation at the 114th Partnership, a national education nonprofit.

She holds a B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University and an MBA from Berkeley Haas. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and hiking with her rescue dog.

Khira Griscavage

Khira serves as Associate Chancellor and Chief Ethics, Risk, and Compliance Officer (CERCO) at UC Berkeley, acting as a strategic advisor to the Chancellor and senior campus leadership. In this role, she oversees the university’s compliance, ethics, and risk service programs, providing both strategic and operational guidance to ensure institutional integrity and accountability.

Khira previously served as Special Advisor and later as Interim Chief of Staff for Administration and Finance from 2007 to 2012, bringing extensive experience in leadership, governance, and risk management to her current role.

Geraldine Esteban Liscano

Geraldine has been the Executive Assistant in the Office of the Chancellor at UC Berkeley since September 2008. In this role, she provides executive administrative support to senior leaders, including the Associate Chancellor, Chief of Staff, Chief Ethics, Risk & Compliance Officer (CERCO), Deputy Compliance Officer, Special Faculty Advisor on Campus Welfare, and Chief Campus Counsel. She also serves as an administrative assistant for the Office of Ethics, Risk, and Compliance Services (OERCS).

Before joining UC Berkeley, Geraldine worked at the UC Office of the President (UCOP), serving as an administrative specialist to the Associate President and Special Assistant to the President in the President’s Executive Office. With extensive experience in executive administration, she plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations at the highest levels of university leadership.

Tim O'Connor

Tim brings over 20 years of operational finance experience, specializing in financial planning, budgeting, analysis, reporting, and process improvement. His career spans both the banking industry and higher education, with leadership roles across UC Berkeley, including in the Office of the Chancellor and Environment, Health and Safety.

Originally from Kinvara, County Galway, Ireland, Tim moved to the U.S. in 2005 and now resides in Novato, North Bay, with his family. Beyond his work at Berkeley, he serves on the Novato City Council, advising on financial policies, housing and planning, public safety, and budget development.

Megan is the Administrative Officer and Control Unit Administrator (CUA) for the Chancellor's Division. She collaborates with division leadership to support HR, finance, and planning initiatives, ensuring operational efficiency and strategic alignment.

Michael Thompson

Building Operations Manager | mike_t@berkeley.edu

Michael is the Building Operations Manager in the Office of the Chancellor, overseeing facilities and operations for California Hall, University House, 2222 Piedmont, and Fox Cottage. With over 28 years at UC Berkeley, he stepped into this role in 2023 after serving as Facilities Manager of 1608 4th Street and a Business Administration Analyst across multiple departments.

Beyond work, Michael is passionate about fitness, enjoying hiking, swimming, and yoga. He also loves traveling, drumming, and exploring new restaurants. A true people person, he finds the most fulfillment in building connections with colleagues, staff, and vendors.

Yolanda Licea De Cazares

Yolanda is the Housekeeper for the University House and has been a valued member of UC Berkeley for three years. She takes pride in being part of the Office of the Chancellor team, ensuring a welcoming and well-maintained environment.

In her free time, she enjoys going for walks as a way to unwind and relax.

Natalie Hoang

Natalie is the Student Assistant to the Building Operations Manager in the Office of the Chancellor, where she help facilitate building operations and maintain office functionality through administrative support and upkeep.

A third-year undergraduate at UC Berkeley, she is studying Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR), with a minor in Data Science. Since joining California Hall in September 2023, she have played a key role in supporting daily operations.

Beyond work, she is actively involved in Berkeley Engineers and Mentors (BEAM), a student organization dedicated to teaching hands-on STEM lessons to K-8 students across the Bay Area.
