He is chairman of the Weill Family Foundation; founder and chairman of NAF; president of Carnegie Hall; chairman emeritus of Weill Cornell Medicine; member of the executive council of UCSF; member of the chancellor’s board of advisors at UC Davis; board member of the Lang Lang International Music Foundation; and honorary chairman of CECP. Mr. Weill is a member of the prestigious American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and he and his wife of 69 years, Joan, are recipients of the 2009 Carnegie Medal of Philanthropy; the 2017 Kennedy Center Award for the Human Spirit; and the 2022 Forbes 400 Lifetime Achievement Award for Philanthropy.
