Victoria Plaut is the Vice Provost for the Faculty at UC Berkeley. With a distinguished background in social and cultural psychology, Victoria brings extensive expertise in diversity, equity, inclusion, and the psychological dynamics that shape institutional environments.

Previously, she served as Associate Dean for Faculty Equity and Inclusion and is a Professor of Law and Social Science at Berkeley Law, where her research and teaching focus on integrating psychological insights into the design of legal and organizational systems. Prior to joining Berkeley in 2010, she was an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Georgia and taught at the College of the Holy Cross.

Victoria holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and has authored over 40 publications in top academic journals such as Psychological Science and the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. Her research, supported by the National Science Foundation and the NIH, explores issues including diversity climate, perceptions of inclusion, multiculturalism, gender diversity, and cultural models of law. She is also a sought-after consultant on diversity and inclusion for schools, universities, corporations, and healthcare organizations.
