Nancy McKinney is the Associate Vice Chancellor of Advancement Operations to the Vice Chancellor for University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) at UC Berkeley. With over two decades of experience in advancement and a deep understanding of university operations, Nancy brings extensive expertise in donor relations, gift compliance, data strategy, and institutional stewardship.
She started her UC Berkeley career as the Director of Stewardship, steadily expanding her portfolio through a subsequent campus role before assuming her current leadership position. Today, she oversees gift agreements, processing, accounting, donor acknowledgment, compliance, analytics, operations, and talent management. Before her transition to higher education, Nancy spent 18 years at Bank of America in internal management consulting, credit risk management, and procurement, where she also led early explorations of artificial intelligence applications in the 1980s.
Nancy holds an MBA from UCLA and undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Business from UC Berkeley.
