Aileen Zerrudo is the Associate Vice Chancellor of Communications & Public Affairs and Chief Communications Officer at UC Berkeley. She leads the full portfolio of strategic communications, including media relations, marketing, internal communications, and crisis communications – all in service of advancing UC Berkeley’s mission.
Aileen brings extensive experience from Fortune 500 companies across consumer products, personal care, technology, aviation, and tourism, bridging brand marketing with enterprise stakeholder communications. Most recently, she served as Global Vice President and Chief Communications Officer at Kimberly-Clark, where she oversaw a global team across six continents and spearheaded a strategic transformation of the Kimberly-Clark Foundation to focus on women’s maternal and menstrual health.
Previously, she was Vice President for Communications, Sustainability Integration, and Crisis Management at The Clorox Company, where she led media relations, stakeholder engagement, and reputational challenges at the highest levels.
