Bahar Navab is the Assistant Vice Chancellor and Chief of Staff for Student Affairs at UC Berkeley. With a deep commitment to student success and equity, Bahar brings extensive expertise in strategic planning, crisis management, and student-centered leadership across all facets of the undergraduate and graduate experience.

Previously, she served as Associate Dean of Students and Executive Director of the ASUC Student Union, where she led financial and operational reforms that improved student services and aligned resources with mission-driven goals. She also held the role of Associate Director of Insurance and Business Development at University Health Services, overseeing Berkeley’s Student Health Insurance Plan and leading key cross-functional initiatives.

Bahar holds a BA from UC Berkeley and an MPH from UCLA. During her doctoral studies, she served as President and Vice President of the Graduate Assembly, advocating for equity-focused policy changes. She is also the founder and leader of the MENASA (Middle East, North African, and South Asian) staff organization at Berkeley, promoting inclusion and visibility for the MENASA community on campus.
