Rebecca Sablo is the Interim Assistant Vice Provost and Chief of Staff to the Vice Provost for Academic and Space Planning at UC Berkeley. With extensive experience in higher education administration, Rebecca brings deep expertise in academic operations, student affairs, curriculum management, and space planning.
Previously, she served in key leadership roles at UC Berkeley, including Assistant Dean of Administration & Finance in the L&S Division of Undergraduate Studies, Senior Associate Registrar, Associate Registrar for Curriculum, Records, and Graduation, and Assistant Dean of Instruction & Student Affairs. She has also held roles as Assistant Director for Student Services and Lead International Student & Scholar Advisor. Rebecca began her advising career at San Francisco State University and Diablo Valley College’s International Education Center.
Rebecca holds a B.A. in Political Science/Social Thought & Political Economy from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, an M.A. in Political Science from San Francisco State University, and a Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language from UC Berkeley Extension. She also studied abroad at Colegio de España in Salamanca, Spain.
