State Government Relations serves as the primary liaison between the campus and state policymakers. Our team works closely with legislators, their staff, and state agency officials to advocate for policies and legislation that support the university’s mission and priorities. We facilitate engagement through campus visits, meetings at district offices and the Capitol, and advocacy events in Sacramento. Additionally, we respond to information requests from the Governor’s office and other state entities, and help connect faculty with policymakers to share timely research and expertise.
